1985年本科毕业，1995年获硕士学位，1999年获博士学位。从事泌尿外科疾病医疗、科研、教学近30年，擅长泌尿外科常见病、疑难复杂病的诊断与治疗。擅长于泌尿系肿瘤、结石、肾上腺疾病和前列腺疾病的诊治。特别擅长腔镜及腹腔镜手术如经尿道前列腺电切、腹腔镜肾上腺肿瘤、肾癌、膀胱癌，前列腺癌根治术及一些少见疑难病如：重复肾畸形、肾盂输尿管畸形、乳糜尿、腔静脉后输尿管、巨输尿管、膀胱憩室、苗勒管残留等的腹腔镜手术。

研究方向：

泌尿系肿瘤及微创技术，目前负责膀胱癌研究领域*********研究基金3项，省级3项；作为第一完成人获广东省科技进步奖三等奖1项。

广东省抗癌协会泌尿生殖肿瘤专业委员会主任委员、广东省泌尿生殖协会泌尿微创学分会主任委员、广东省健康管理学会泌尿及男科学专业委员会副主任委员、中国抗癌协会泌尿生殖肿瘤专业委员会第二届委员、国家科学技术奖评审专家、广东省医学会泌尿外科分会委员及《中山大学学报》《癌症》《中华腔镜泌尿外科杂志》《热带医学》等期刊常务编委。
